Best Buy preps for a social holiday season

Corporate Social Media Case Study: Best Buy

Best Buy has already begun preparing for the coming holiday season through various social media platforms. The company recently began advertising Twelpforce, a Twitter account staffed by more than 2,500 people providing immediate answers to consumer questions. Seven different new commercials are set to air in the near future in which the Q&A skits are set to Christmas carol melodies.

Best Buy is also bringing the Christmas spirit to Facebook. The company profile includes a Gift Ideas tab, which allows users to post questions and comments about Best Buy products as presents for the holidays and special occasions. Every item sold by Best Buy is accessible inside their Facebook page, which will soon include recordings of 25 Christmas songs, reworded to promote high-tech gifts.
