Dentyne uses Twitter to fill empty cup holders
Corporate Social Media Case Study: Dentyne
To promote their new limited-edition bottles of gum, Dentyne asked fans to submit pictures of their empty cup holders on Twitter. The program highlighted their new packaging, specifically designed to occupy the otherwise empty beverage holders out there.
Participants submitted photos of their cup holders on Twitter via TwitPic, using the hashtag #emptycupholder. A microsite was also set up to help organize and track the buzz.
