When Kraft’s DiGiorno brand recently launched a flatbread pizza, its marketing mix included delivering free pies to well-attended tweetups in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.

“The beauty of the tweetup is it’s not necessarily millions of impressions at that point in time,” said Tom Moe, DiGiorno marketing manager. “It’s the quality of the interaction we are going to have with these folks who are passionate about relevant new news.”
