Nissan's online audition to own a Cube
Nissan is giving away 50 petite cars to Canadian creatives who win the company’s online “hypercube” audition. The Japanese automobile manufacturer will publish competing submissions on a special micro-site, which it hopes will attract the attention of its 20-something, tech-savvy target market for the vehicle.
Now moving into the second phase of the contest, the field has been narrowed down to 500 contestants, who will now be voted on by the public. As Nissan’s micro-site describes it:
we’ve got our 500 auditioners out of thousands of amazing entries.
with so much awesome, it wasn’t easy.now these talents have to show all of Canada why they
should get one of the 50 cubes.
for math lovers, yes, that’s a 1 in 10 chance.it’s all about who they are and what they’ve got to show.
oh ya, and how many people vote for them!then we tally the votes and get our esteemed panel of judges to
pick the winners.
and we mean esteemed.
The promotion is being rolled out without any television advertising or overt emphasis on pricing or miles per gallon.
