Corporate Social Media Case Study: DuPont
Rather than looking externally to find new ideas for viral content, DuPont turned to their internal archives. Their series, called simply “DuPont Science Videos,” features five short clips of behind-the-scenes educational footage of DuPont product tests.
Each clip is about three minutes long and features tests of products like bullet-proof vests, shatter-resistant glass, and fire-fighting gear. In a recent speech, DuPont’s E-Marketing Manager, Gary Spangler, said his team found that test footage was a gold mine for great content.
Though the series is now more than two years old, Ad Age reports the videos are still pulling steady audiences.
