Show & Tell: IAB on social media metrics standardization (Member call); May 26, 12 Noon (EST)

TIME: 12 Noon EST (11 AM CST)
DATE: Tuesday, May 26
CALL: Members log-in here for call details

TOPIC: Standardizing definitions of social media metrics

Blog Council members are invited to a members-only Show & Tell conference call with Ryan Walker, Manager of Industry Services at IAB.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau has done a lot to set standards in online advertising; their latest project aims to standardize definitions of social media metrics, for proper and consistent measurement of value. As we all understand the importance and pressure to report ROI, it first helps to have proper definitions in place. IAB Manager of Industry Services Ryan Walker will discuss three arenas of the social media landscape — social media sites, blogs, and widgets/applications — and the terminology and metrics the IAB says are best used to measure success.

As typical with Show & Tells, Ryan will share for 10-15 minutes and take questions, followed by a private group discussion.

This sounds like a fantastic Show & Tell, but unfortunately I will not be able to attend. For those of us who will not be able to make the call, will this be archived? Thanks so much!

    Hello Jonathan,

Since it’s a private call for Blog Council members, we won’t be making it public, but we will archive it in the Member Center (http://blogcouncil.org/login).

    Cheers,
    Cale
