Forrester analyst Josh Bernoff briefs Blog Council on trust and corporate blogging

On the same day Forrester released a new report on trust and corporate blogging, the paper’s author Josh Bernoff conducted a private briefing for Blog Council members. All received a free copy of the report a full day before it was released.

Some key highlights:

  • During the call, Josh made an interesting point in response to a question about attitude vs. behavior: “People say they don’t trust things, but they can still be influenced by them.”
  • Josh also made a point that corporate blogs might suffer from a PR problem, and made a correlation between mistrust in corporate blogs and mistrust in corporations overall.

Nearly three dozen members called in, and a lot of spirited discussion took place both during and after the briefing.  Our special thanks go to Josh Bernoff and Tracy Sullivan from Forrester for setting everything up in a very short amount of time.

These sort of Blog Council calls are for members only. If you’re interested in joining the Blog Council and participating, we’d love to have you on board! Give us a shout.
