Corporate Social Media Case Study: Nike

This summer, Nike launched their Nike Academy series on YouTube — a mix between reality TV, documentary, and educational series — all revolving around the sport of soccer. The series features a talented group of amateur players, all hoping for their shot at a professional contract.

As the players hone both their physical and mental soccer skills with a host of coaches, Nike’s series shares lots of how-to tips, practice drills, and advanced techniques for their soccer-loving YouTube subscribers. The series has helped draw more than 17,000 subscribers to their Nike Football channel, as well as bring in more than 1.2 million channel views.
