Corporate Social Media Case Study: PEDIGREE

In an effort that ultimately raised more than $50,000 for The PEDIGREE Adoption Drive — a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping shelters and rescue groups find homes for loving dogs — PEDIGREE coordinated the creation of the largest online photo mosaic ever.

The Million Dog Mosaic allowed dog lovers to upload photos of their pups, which were then added to a collage ultimately composed of more than 50,000 photos. In addition to being able to upload on the mosaic’s homepage, a special Facebook application helped fans of the campaign easily share photos from the social network.

The award-winning project generated more than 1 million page views in one month and was featured during the world famous Westminster Dog Show.
