Corporate Social Media Case Study: PEMCO
Earlier this year, PEMCO hosted a “tweetup” in Seattle to unveil its new ad campaign and to build relationships with local social media influencers, resulting in positive blog mentions of the event and the brand, as well as a 100 percent increase in relevant Twitter mentions in one day.
The PEMCO team focused on reaching out to the targeted group of influencers in the Seattle social media scene via Twitter invitations from PEMCO CMO Rod Brooks (@NW_Mktg_Guy). To encourage tweeting at the event, PEMCO recommended the hash tag #NWProfile and placed signage highlighting the tag throughout venue, and also featured a real-time feed of PEMCO-related tweets on a big screen.
