We begin by getting to know each other over dinner at a delicious dinner. It’s a perfect opportunity to connect with your fellow members before a big day of brainstorming, discussion, and collaboration. Drinks at 6 PM, dinner at 7.

Time to put the ‘social’ in social media! We’ll start the day by examining the art of conversation — how you interact with your customers, and how they interact with you. Whether BtoB or BtoC, all of us follow the same basic fundamentals to have a worthwhile conversation: We listen, we respond, we engage. In our morning session, we’ll focus on best practices for a successful dialogue with your customers, success stories, and lessons learned. We can discuss things like:

• What you should be listening for
• When to respond — as a company or as an individual employee
• When to move a conversation offline
• When a crisis is not a crisis
• How to set expectations for timely responses

We’ll break into groups to dig deeper into the juiciest parts of the big conversation. Each group will look for the big takeaways in each specific area and share with the rest of the class.

Don’t just sit back. This is your meeting. You’re not just the audience, but you’re a participant as well. You decide which topics to sit in on based on what interests you the most. This is the time to roll up the sleeves and get down to business. What issues are top of mind and of pressing concern?

FBI Supervisory Special Agent Kevin Burton knows better than anyone that we have reasons to be concerned about computer fraud and intrusion — everything from hackers trying to penetrate your website and data to spies and terrorists looking for access to classified information. An eight-year veteran of the FBI, Special Agent Burton currently leads a squad on the front lines of computer intrusion cases, which the FBI regards as the “paramount priority” of its cyber program because of the potential threats to national security.
