SMBC Member Meeting 7 at Coca-Cola
This meeting is sold out.
The SMBC’s seventh Member Meeting takes place at Coca-Cola’s World Headquarters in Atlanta on November 11th (the day after BlogWell Atlanta at Newell Rubbermaid). To maintain a manageable meeting, we cap this (and future) Council meetings at 50 attendees, 2 representatives per company.
Morning Discussion
This meeting’s big morning discussion: Social Media Metrics & ROI. Corporate social media is growing exponentially… but we need proper metrics to determine if we’re growing in the right directions, at the appropriate speeds, to accomplish the desired goals. In our morning deep dive, we’ll examine:
- Which metrics are the ones that matter
- The tools that help track measurement
- How others are measuring progress
- How frequently – or infrequently – results should be counted
- Whether ‘ROI’ is a reasonable metric, let alone the most important one
All attendees will have a chance to share and learn from each other in large group form, and we’ll break down the key takeaways in small groups.
Afternoon Breakouts
We have a series of informal, small-group breakouts, a chance to take a bite out of issues that matter to you. These can be about a general topic, or about a specific matter you’re dealing with and need help with — who better to ask than people who have been there? Members voted for these topics:
- Building a social media team
- Working with influencers – strategies that work
- The challenge of going global
- Using social media in a crisis
- Creating a social media policy for employees
- The most useful app/site/widget we’re using is…
- Social media and government advocacy
- Dealing with the FTC’s new advertising policies
- Involving executives in social media
- Where professional accounts stop and personal ones begin
- Imagining corporate social media in 2014 – what’s next?
- Finding the right community/social media platform
So Much More
- Private conversation with Davdi Butler, Coca-Cola’s Global VP, Design
- A private dinner the night before at Chequers Seafood Grill
- Face-to-face networking with your fellow Council members
