Morning Discussion
This meeting’s big morning discussion: Building social media to scale. With greater attention and buy-in to corporate social media efforts, disciplines need to be built to grow accordingly – within and across departments. No need to face these growing pains alone: we’ll share from-the-trenches experiences and best practices to help one another build a scalable, workable social media force. The morning discussion will include:
- Determining best practices for corporate-wide social media management
- Implementing policy/guidelines and training to grow the corporate culture
- Getting executive buy-in and employee involvement
- Managing increase/shift to employees’ workloads
- How future hiring practices might be impacted
All attendees will have a chance to share and learn from each other in large group form, and we’ll break down the key takeaways in small groups.
Afternoon Breakouts
We have a series of informal, small-group breakouts, a chance to take a bite out of issues that matter to you. These can be about a general topic, or about a specific matter you’re dealing with and need help with — who better to ask than people who have been there? Past topics include:
- Building a social media team
- Working with influencers – strategies that work
- The challenge of going global
- The most useful app/site/widget we’re using is…
- Social media and government advocacy
- Dealing with the FTC’s advertising policies
- Where professional accounts stop and personal ones begin
- Imagining corporate social media in 2014 – what’s next?
- Finding the right community/social media platform
- Using social media in a crisis
- Creating a social media policy for employees
What topics would you like to see addressed? Send us your suggestions.
